Taking it Outside - Tony Geballe and Eight Trumpets - RAIN OR SHINE

  • Newtown Creek Nature Walk End of Paidge Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

In his new work Ordinary Time, Tony Geballe leads eight trumpets. Working with the natural tones of the trumpet, the dense harmonies build and release tension. Based on the breath, the shifting colors alternately speed up and slow down the listener's sense of time.

The event is entirely outdoors. All performers are required to be vaccinated; listeners are strongly encouraged to wear masks.

The Newtown Creek Nature walk is located near the ends of Paidge Avenue and Provost Streets at the northeast tip of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. 7 to Hunter’s Point Avenue and walk over the Pulaski, G to Greenpoint Avenue, B32/B67 to the foot of the Pulaski Bridge. Parking is available near the entrance to the Walk.

If there is rain, we will move the performance to a covered location two blocks away.

Concert is free an open to the public. RSVP requested but not required.
